My home town is Nelson, B.C., Canada. I move to the West Coast and spent twenty-ish years in Kitsilano. I now reside in Tsawwassen at the beach in Boundary Bay with my beautiful and talented wife, Tanya and our Bouvier des Flanders, Makena.
I got my first dog in grade 3. I had my first dinner party when I was in grade 5. My first real memory of getting into the vino was my Italian friend’s dad’s homemade red, straight from the barrel, in grade 9 i think.
We love entertaining. We have overnight guests almost every weekend of the Summer. It’s like having a two-day dinner party. We spend the days at the beach and in the water and the evenings in the kitchen and dining room. A weekend that includes swimming, paddling my SUP with Makena on the bow, hanging out with friends and family, drinking wine and enjoying some spectacular dishes we’ve created… well, it doesn’t get any better than that.

well, yours seems the perfect life: rather like the one I’m planning to have… except the dog. Only my better half comes attached to a non-vegatable eating vegetarian nine years old toast fetichist. Shall try the braised beef as soon as can be, and throw in the french toast just to keep the peace.

Hello! I found your blog recently -so happy to find another Vancourite living life to its fullest. We also have the wine, food and dog mantra running through our veins…though every wednesday it’s the bubbly for us. I’d have it no other way!
This is a good site for food and wine collections and recipes.
